Karlfs - one of a devoted sitter to MDDragon

Karlfs was being approached by Morgana to help in running MDDragon. We did not regret of having him in our team. Thanks Karl: His wonderful message for us.. Telling us his excitements in the game- and of course the downtime as well...

Way to go Karl::::::: }{ :::::::::

My thanks to Nirvana, MAD and all their allies for providing me a year of excitement, both highs and lows.

The early excitement between OAR & Pantheon while we sorted out the quad. The excitement Archilles caused me when he killed half my defense and taught me a harsh lesson on proper infantry/cavalry balance. Playing with Heywood, Mayhem, Symb0l, Kalina, Zakalwe, rewind, 9, sparticus...

And especially the excitement of the past month. I was both lucky and (very) unlucky to have been asked to help on MDDragon's WW. WW duty is mostly a tiring slog where you are focused entirely on feeding the troops. Constant merchants in motion, constant raids sent out, constant MMs begging for crop. Based on my month helping sit the WW I cannot imagine how my compatriats survived. Literally action had to be taken every hour to keep the troops fed in the WW and the artifact village. Operations would occur to secure a 2nd Plan only to fail. Some depression had set in, for me at least.

We were to point of recalling MDDragon's hammer to join a last try for some plans when the word came in. Our allies, Arakas & LoDm, had secured a Plan in an incredible operation. Suddenly we were in full swing. JEE agreed to help us and his plan was retrieved, and at the same time several LoDm players joined the WW alliance and the building restarted. Such stress and such excitement. Queue 2 levels, find a safe place for Plan, coordinate with other Plan holders, arrange hero.

Note incoming attacks, run simulations, MM for more defense, prepare support villages for upcoming builds. Non-stop action. All through the day and all through the night. I was very lucky to come into a well honed team that spanned the globe. All hours were usually covered.

The past few days were great. We were constantly parsing the incomings on the WW and researching hammer sizes. When we saw stooge (ram) and Gambit (catapults) coming we knew we were going to take some damage. Quite frankly, I was surprised that Kidsun did no damage with nearly 9k catapults. bjonax1973 and RAGE damaged infrastructure. They probably would not have harmed the WW. Props to those guys (and usama, cposervices, walrus love, fungfung101) and all the other players that came straight at the WW when the end was in sight. I understand why aig, peccy, hiker, ?_?, SEVENIGHT, 5darkcat5 and pavlik.tynec went after the Architect's Secret. But I was surprised that so few hammers came at the WW there at the end. Although it was for the best. We were exhausted and ready for rest.

Apologies to LoDm for not giving you additional time for your final operations. And thanks for allying with us. We could not have done it without you.

Special thanks to Bea, Morgana, Mary (Budaka), Tom (Why), Tim (Kratos), Tim (OldMcDonald), Raj (Tooter), Sam (Immortal), Danny (wces) and JEE. Playing in the WW with you guys was quite an experience.

Take care all!
Karl (karlfs)
